Hello all,

Just purchased a 2008 Mini Cooper S. Solid Pepper White and pretty much stock. It replaces a Miata with 170k that won't pass state safety inspection (wipers don't work, airbag, cracked plastic window). It's nice to have a car with working wipers, lots of airbags, and glass windows.

I've been looking for minis for a couple of years, always pepper white. Great car - fast, small, efficient, sounds good, unique. I'm glad to be here.

My second post will be in the "Stock Problems/Issues." On my third ownership day, the big center speedo developed a noise which only occurs when moving. Sounds like the noise that an old cable driven speedo made when it was cold. It was humid last night when the noise started - possibly weather related? Searched and couldn't find anything. Hope I can get it corrected, cause other than that, the Mini is the perfect next gen car for me.
