New Mini R56 S Owner checking in!

Hello everyone! My name is Tom and I'm from Tempe, AZ(moving to phoenix next month) but am originally from NJ. We just traded in my fiances 2007 Impreza 2.5i on Sunday and picked up this 2008 Mini Cooper S with leather and navigation:

So far we both really LOVE the car and it has been a blast to drive and its still 100% stock! Plans are to lower it some, remove the resonator from the exhaust, LED interior and exterior lights(although it does have interior mood lighting), possibly flat black vinyl wrap the whole car, black out the wheels and who knows what else yet. I have been lurking the forums all week and have decided to make an intro post so I can start posting more and getting more involved.

Now that you saw the wifes toy, heres mine:

2005 Evo 8 with the SSL package, 510awhp, 516 awtq on e85. Ultimate goals are 600+, but for now I want to focus on exterior mods, suspension and wheels next. You guys probably arent too interested in it so I wont get too involved with the mods list but I wanted to share anyway.

Welcome aboard, and congrats on your new-to-you MINI! It sounds like you have some great plans for you-ifying the MINI; be sure to post pics as you go.

I've never driven an EVO but from what I understand they're a riot in & of their own right. You & your fiancee will both have a sweet set of wheels. Personally, I'd be hard-pressed not to swap keys every now & then.

Happy Motoring, and drive 'em in good health!

Yeah I would love to switch keys once in a while but she isnt the best at driving manual and then throw an Exedy triple disc clutch in the mix and she would really have a hard time driving the Evo.

Whats funny is with her old car she wouldn't want to drive anywhere so I would always drive my car, or I would be the one driving her car. With the Mini she hasn't handed the keys for me to drive once yet since the test drive haha, cant blame her either!

I will definitely be posting pics as the modding begins. Thanks!
