Made my first call to askmini - mine is in production with an estimated complete date of 7/9. MONDAY! This baby really might arrive in time for my birthday in August. I always get myself The Best presents. hahaha

 

Hey soontb - I picked up my first mini on my birthday 6 years ago. It is a great present.
This time it will be a late bday gift for myself

 

Just got off the phone with ASK MINI my MCS passed its quality checks and has been released for shipment so I guess that means birthdate is 3 July 2012. Now to figure out how this ship tracking works

 

I also just got off of the phone with ask mini and my S convert has also been completed today. Congrats to you blkjk. You may be my traveling mate.

Ordered my Cooper S Clubman on the 25th. Ask mini still says scheduled for production with no confirmed production date. Hopefully it'll start soon! I ordered it with sumer tires, and would like to enjoy them before throwing on snows.

7/8/12 Turandot... arrives 7/18/12
7/16/12 Topeka... arrives 7/25/12
7/22/12 Toledo... arrives 8/1/2012

Woohoo, mime started production today. Estimated completion of the 12th. How can you find out which port your vehicle will come into? My order says balpoa. Is that Baltimore?

Ask you MA. I would assume it is Baltimore since there is a port there.

 

According to the how to track your MINI thread they are brought in thru Baltimore maybe you have just figured out the missing port code. Congrats on your new MINI.

My MA told me they arrive in NJ. I think she may be wrong.

 

The port all depends on where you live.

I know for those coming to Pittsburgh, our port is Baltimore. For Philly, I'd think yours would come into the NY port.

 

Just signed the papers for my new 2013 Justa today. Production number is up and already showing on the Owner's Lounge. I nearly had a heart attack when it said the car was an automatic until I remembered the wise words of my MA!

 

Thanks . I found a reference to it in a BMW thread. Apparently BALPOA = Baltimore Port of Authority. I'm in Ohio, so that's apparently where cars headed this way come in.

Just checked the shipping website and my car is booked on the TURANDOT leaving Southampton on the 9th and arriving NY on the 19th any one else sailing with me?

 

BLKJCK, how can you tell your car is on that boat? Mine just completed today and I'm hoping it makes it to the dock in time to catch a ride with you.

Anyone here have a MINI key cover of any kind? Comments, recommendations for one?
I think I need something to keep it from getting scratched/dinged up. (Hey, my purse is far from organized and my truck key no longer has any icons to let me know which button does what.)

jeffs2 once ASK MINI said it was released to the carrier for shipment I started putting my VIN in the Cargo ID box on WW shippings website https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/ this morning instead of the usual no records found it came back with the booking information with ship name and date.

 

My new MCS Convertible also found a boat today. At least the info was entered for the first time today. I also have been checking the WW site 2 times per day since the car was built. Build was finished on 07/03/2012 per ask Mini. WW site says received at terminal on 07/04/2012 at 1944 hours. Sailing from Southhampton to Baltimore on the Tirranna. Leaving on 07/07/2012 and arriving in Baltimore on 07/15/2012. Baltimore is its first stop. Goes to Savannah, GA next and arrives there on 07/19/2012.
I think I got lucky getting a ship so fast. I also think 8 days at sea is short compared to some of the schedules I have seen.

I keep checking and my car is not on the boat... Could it be coming through another company? If not, I hope my MINI makes it on the 7/9 boat...
