Which app are you using to track the Gentle Leader? I have been using Marine Traffic (free) iPhone app, and also Vessel Finder.com. As far as I can tell, it is currently out of range of their tracking and I am guessing it's now half-way between Portugal and the Azores. I tracked the previous ship, the Topeka, and it was passing the Azores a couple of days ago.
Ummm, the same app that I didn't realize said last update was over a day ago.
This is the time my husband would pat my head and say. You're cute, I certainly married you becuase you are cute"

I had mine the same day I placed the order (I asked my MA for the Vehicle Inquiry Report, and it was right on there), but some people have waited a week or two (or more - but there were some special circumstances around Christmas!)

Ohhhhhhhh mb2020 that is one loaded question on this forum!!!!
I would make sure to politely email your MA every day until you get one.
I ordered mine over the phone and via email since my nearest dealer in 4 hours away. The MA said it would take a week or two to get it so I was just trying to get a feel if that was normal or not.
Does that have something to do with the dealer allocation?
Yes, it has a lot to do with allocation. If your dealer has an allocation available the day you place your order, you can get your number that day. If your dealer is able to override an already ordered allocation, you can get a number that day. If not, you have to wait for the next batch of allocations.
I did all my ordering via email too. I've actually never driven an R56 MCS. Huh. That just occurred to me! My wife has a Justa, though, and I drive that all the time.
Now, I've personally ordered one car from this dealer and sent five people to him, and my family has ordered five cars from him over the last six years too...so that might explain why I got a production allocation so quickly!

It definitely has to do with allocation. I would call/email your MA and ask him if they have an allocation for your vehicle or if they are trying to trade for one. It sounds like they might be trying to trade for one since they said it would be 1 to 2 weeks. The more you let your dealer know up front that you know, the more they need to be straight up with you.
Hopefully you will have a marvelous experience but ask questions now so you aren't stuck in limbo.
I ordered mine online and through emails as well. I too have never driven a 2013 Mini Cooper S convertible but boy am I itching too!

https://www.showcarsupplies.com/default.asp This one will give us 11% off everyday discount code: MINI11NAM but he has finished restocking the site which is driving me nuts (OC about everything lately).
Love it as I am getting a JCW and all it says is John Cooper Works. I know it may sound odd but I am jealous of the "Cooper S" logo as everyone gets it Mini "Cooper" but the average non-Mini owner doesn't get the JCW logo. I am still considering the "Cooper S" logo with an extra "S" for "Cooper SS". S on Mini originally stood for "Special" so I figured "Super Special" for SS.

How can we put this politely? If you don't have a production # your car really hasn't been ordered. Many of us figured that out the hard way. The question is to ask your MA or you Sales Manager if they have an Allocation for your order so they can get you a production #. If they are already out of "Allocations" for the month of Feb the only 2 ways you can get one is if they trade a car/allocation with another dealer or you wait until March for a new batch of allocations.
Allocations are given to dealers for orders and they only get so many for each "trim line" and based on many factors including average sales they either get more or less. A dealer that sells a lot of cars regularly gets more while a smaller dealer that sells less gets less of course.
If you don't have a production number by Friday, I'd go see your Sales Manager and ask to be given a date in writing on when you can expect them to have an "Allocation" for your production #.
OK for all the new people joining us. First welcome to the insane asylum for OCD aka "The OC Club" when it comes to our future Minis. 2nd PLEASE take the time to create a signature so we know what you ordered...reading and looking a pretty pictures of new Minis from the recent grads are all ways we help pass the stress...oops, I mean the time.

I did the same thing...was scratching my head wondering why it had stopped moving. Just got a position update now though. It's passing to the south of the Azores. Inching its way to Port Hueneme.
well i can be added to the list of waiting on a mini. placed my order jan 18th, got my production number the next day (finalized the details at closing so my MA put it through the next morning). i have my vin, but it's been sitting at "scheduled for production" for almost two weeks now
