I am Sam
Hello.
I am Sam. I am new to the forum and to Mini. I purchased my mini about a month ago. It is my first and I have fallen in love with this car. So much so, that I'd rather drive it than the family SUV when I take the family on outings.
I've joined the forum because I want to learn more about other Mini owners and how they have chosen to alter their own "mini-personalities". I also want to learn about any groups that may be in my area.
My mini is a Chilli Red 2008 Mini Cooper Clubman S. It has a black top, along with these packages: Sport, Cold Weather, Premium Sound, Chrome, and Convenience.
I'm very new to the mini and still learning the jargon, along with how to set the profiles on the car and use the radio/ipod.

Hi Sam, welcome to NAM! Great looking Clubman you have there.
Looks like you have what is called the "Aero kit" too, which is a body kit for the front and rear bumpers, and side skirts. You have the first version of it as opposed to the current version. Here's the difference in them:

There are many performance and aesthetic mods you can do to your car to make it your own! Many types of racing stripes, different kinds of mirror caps, decals, etc. Performance mods are almost endless!
If you go here, https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...nal-forums-98/, you can view regional MINI forums to see if there is a club near you.

Hi Sam. I will not, will not in a house... I guess we've all read Dr. Suess.
Welcome to the MINI world - little did I know what I was getting into almost 4 years ago when I bought the same model year as you.
HERE is some of the stuff I've done since taking ownership - might give you some ideas. Lot's more to do!

Welcome to the MINI obsession.
I like the Clubmans also for the room they offer.
I'm a member of the Atlanta MINI's, their web site is atlantaminis.net they are having a outing next Saturday in Blairsville, Georgia.
They will be going up there for the Scottish Highland Festival ! You should join us if you like. We have get togethers all of the time.
Meet us on Georgia 400 for the ride up, or meet all of us up there, we will be parking on the Baseball field on Saturday. Check out their web site for more information.
Hope to see you up there.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, I appreciate it.
@gepperso - I did stumble upon the Atlantaminis site and joined the forum there. The Blairsville trip looks like fun. If the wife hasn't made plans for us, then I'll see what we can do to come up.
