2007 Mini S: Carbon build up on the intakes?

Dealer suggested "sand blasting" with walnut sheels and cleaning the
injectors.

 

If you have carbon build up then walnut shell blasting the valves is the dealer solution. It works! There are some how-to write ups about doing it yourself.

Once you get it done, put on an oil catch can to slow down the buildup.....
