Hey everyone,

I am proud to have joined the MINI community with a 2005 MCS.

However, on day two i had to remove my door panel to reinstall the bowden cable for my door handle. It fell off AGAIN! Is there a redesigned part, aftermarket part, or quick fix to prevent this from happening again?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but the video was informative and you might see something you missed while putting it back together.

 

I have an r53 but that video is for an r56.

 

The trick is either to replace the cable with a new one, wrap the blue or orange cable end with tape, or glue the blue or orange cable end in place.

 

Wrap the cable where it rests with some tacky tape and it should be good to go
