Checking in...

Hello to all of NAM! Thought I'd stop by and say hello. I'm not an owner yet, but plan to be within the next few months. I can't wait to soak up all the knowledge I can in the meanwhile.

I've always been enamored by MINI's since their debut in NA, but as the father of two young children, I've wondered if they could fit my family of four if needed. This would be a secondary, weekend car that I could tinker around with and mod, or the wife could drive if our primary family hauler is in the shop.

I got a chance to swing by my local dealer last week to check things out and was pleasantly surprised to find my daughter fit just fine in the rear seat behind the driver's seat of an MCS. This was my main concern as I am 6'02" so I have to extend the driver's seat almost all the way back. When we sat in the Clubman it was cavernous! Plenty of room to spare so that may be the way I'm leaning. All that's left is to search around and look for a good deal on a used Clubbie S and pull the trigger
