Newly Obsessed

Hello everyone! I'm very happy to say that I've joined the club!

I recently purchased a used (but in fantastic condition) '08 Dark Silver MCS and am quite in love. Seriously, I love everything about it. I'm happy to join such a wonderful community as well!

Mr.Spahkol - have you played with the shifter/paddles yet? They can be very addictive.
Enjoy it and nice looking ride.

Definitely! I find myself shifting more often with the stick than the paddles, but I certainly have my fun.

Welcome! Your hood scoop looks like it has the infamous R56 warp. If it's still under warranty take it to the dealership and have them replace it. Looks great, have a blast!

Really? I've neer noticed anything like that. What symptoms should I be looking for? I'm thinking that it may just be the shot that is giving that impression but who knows haha

Ahh I looked at another thread and saw what you were referencing. I've never noticed that it was that bad, plus being that I've never owned another, and have only had this one for a few months, I've never known different Unfortunately it's very much not under warranty, so I'll either replace it one day or just live with it (probably the latter)

If the scoop is warped a little it's no worse than mine. Doesn't bother me.
You can purchase a NM Engineering turbo heat shield which will help diffuse the heat away from the bonnet.
Another good upgrade or mod, whatever you want to call it is a BSH oil catch can and boost tap.
All can be purchased at a number of onlines but I use www.waymotorworks.com
Waylan is a great guy and very well liked on the site.
The catch can, boost tap, and heat shield are all very easy DIY installs and the catch can in particular will help keep unwanted oil from going back through your intakes.

That's great, thanks for the info! I have noticed quite excessive heat on the lover part of the scoop after driving, so it would probably be a good idea to sink that elsewhere. I'll check it all out!

Thanks! I love it too. I was exceptionally lucky finding this guy for the price, condition, location, and also that if I were buying one new, it would most likely be that color

Yeah don't worry about it then. Sorry I mentioned it actually, hopefully you don't start staring at it now. I only noticed it because mine was warped too. Nice color btw!

Haha no don't worry about it! I appreciate anything from those more experienced! I'm not stressing too much over the little imperfections because it is in such good shape for what I bought it for that it's already exceeding my expectations.
