Hi everyone, I just sold my BMW track car, and am looking to get something a bit more practical, but no less fun to play in. I'm just beginning my search, but hope to find my MINI ASAP. This is my first post, but I've been lurking a bit and learning about the different models, options, colors...etc.

I can't wait to stop talking about it, and start driving it!

Welcome! What model you looking at? 02-06 r53's with the supercharger or 07+ r56 with the turbo? (I'm making an assumption you want forced induction based on that you had a BMW track car )

 

Haha, good assumption! I'm looking for a 2005 or 2006 MCS. I put a WTB ad in the marketplace for a start. Any idea where the best places to look are?

I love the enthusiasm the MINI owners have about their cars. I am a big BMW fan, and always will be, but definitely want to be part of the MINI culture. It fits me to a tee!

Drove it home yesterday afternoon. A nice 3 hour drive is great to get familiar with the car.

Wasn't yesterday (March 22, 2012) the official 10 year anniversary of MINIs coming to the US? How fitting

It's Pure Silver with black stripes. I'll post some pictures this weekend. So far, I'm loving it.

I brought the car out to "Cars & Coffee" in Greenville today. It was raining out, but I didn't care. The turnout was not too bad once it cleared up.
