Howdy... In process of getting my (new to me) '05 S tagged and on the road. Really can't say that I was going to be a "Mini" guy, but when a good deal comes your way, and your looking for a toy to keep you busy, how can you turn it down?
Never really poked around the Mini boards, have to say it seems like a good group of chaps. Spent the better part of the last 12 years on BMW's and VW's... If anyone get's bored and wants to see some of my work do a Google on "SVTWeb BMW" or "SVTWeb Volkswagon". One of these days I'll start a support group for others like me.. Hi, I'm SVTWeb and I like to OEM mod every car I get with every option that was every available from the factory no matter what country it came from..... I guess that best part of that group is I would still get to drink
So.. enough about me. A good friend of mine is expecting his first child. So needless to say he had to get rid of his Mini and get a Mini-van.. I couldn't let a dealer take advantage of him.
2005 cooper s, Aero package, JCW air-cleaner. Dark Silver, Black leather... 87K.. $6800.... Had to put front brakes, tires and strut mounts on the car for inspection. As expected, the local mini dealer specializes in proctology exams, so I did my own work for 20% of the cost......
Car came with a lot of extra's that will find their way quickly to the market to generate some capital to start changing things.

PS - I used to race SCCA/IMSA in the early 90's for FORD, that is how I got SVTWeb........
