Driver Seat Too High

Hi - I'm new to the forum but was hoping to get some advice from more experienced Mini owners. Got my 12 Clubman S this summer but I've discovered a big problem - even at the lowest setting, I sit way too high in the driver's seat. Leaning really far back doesn't help, for other reasons. Ideally, I'd like to drop the sitting position by about 2 in. Does anyone know if there are aftermarket options that would help?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Short of cutting a hole in the floorboard...(pun semi intended) If you need help in one small area, seeing those hanging traffic lights without leaning over and looking like a dork get a lightinsight prism at:
https://lightinsight.webfeatsecurity.com/
That's the only help I can think of beyond woulda, coulda, shoulda like doing whatever aunt Agnes told you not to do or it would stunt your growth.

Without the sunroof you get a bit more room, not sure if you have one or if getting a different MINI is financially viable for you either, but at least wanted to put it out there.

Thanks, Brick and Cereal. I've ordered the prism, so that would help. And yes, I do have the sunroof. But I'm finding the angle that I look through the windshield weird. Wondering if aftermarket seats might do the trick.

And Brick, Aunt Agnes was a fool!

I had a hard time seeing stop lights and the light in sight definitely made driving more enjoyable. Definitely a worthwhile purchase! Took about a week for me to get mine once I ordered it, came in a normal envelope.

Is it the fact that you cannot see traffic lights at the front of the line or you are just too tall?

If lights are an issue, get a lightinsight from any vendor on here. http://www.lightinsight.com/

Being 6'=6" I sit all of the way back and down, plus I am long in the torso so I have one on each MINI.

I too had to purchase the lightinsight, since you can't see the traffic lights. The problem is that the windshield is more vertical than most cars. If the "seeing the traffic light" isn't the issue, I am wondering what you mean "too high"? You do know there is a seat height adjuster? I am tall 6'3" with a long torso, and sometimes I feel that I am too low!

I'm 5'8" but have very long legs and arms, my setting is at the lowest and a click or two forward. I like an almost straight knee when braking and accelerating, don't flame me I drive an Auto!!
