Hello!

I have been following this site for a bit from the outside, but I am here now with my Rat in-tow. I am proud to say that the majority of the work completed on this car has been completely by me (a chick) with help from my husband! Yes, I completed the paint (not pin-strips), which is what "she" gets complimented on the most.

I have more things I want to do, but need more money!! Enjoy, and thanks for so much useful information!

Rat, there's a reason your car gets comments on the pin-striping: It's [b]AWESOME[b]!! You do good work! Good enough to make me wonder if you're a pro at it...

I wish I had done the pin stripping!! I did the painting! As my husband says, not bad for a girl!!

I have to detail (again) this week - I'll get some better pictures than!

Next step - suicide doors!!

If so I'm curious

What do you do so far as surface prep b4 you apply this over the clear coat?

And do you do anything after?

(or were these applied as part of a total repaint?????)

p.s. don't do suicide doors . . . very r.i.c.e. ...... old stuff .... want bling? You'd be better to go 200% more pin stipes & chasing a classic look. The Ja.p. look is gonnnnnnnne .

CAPT_BJ - Surface prep was I hand sanded the car down. Sprayed with Flat Black, clear coat with a flat clear. I sprayed the tail and head lights with the same clear with a touch of black. I have attached some additional pictures. Pin strips are real! They were part of the initial design but were hand painted by a professional!

TMORS424 - I looked at that Rat Fink for my shifter. I am going to fabricate up a longer shift handle and put something on the top!!

VIPKOHH - Girls can love cars too!!! (My kids think I am weird)
