New Owner R56 Northern BC

Hello everyone- Traded in my Jeep Wrangler for a 2007 MINI automatic with paddles- it has 34k kilometers. It is nice to drive in the twisty mountain roads of BC. Good power and handling. The only trouble so far is - my glass roof sometimes hesitates to open on the first try. If I wait a while it does eventually open. Is this a characteristic of R56 Mini's? Other than that I really like this car.

Yay, congrats! My MINI automatic, paddles too, is just 3 months old. Live in BC (Lower Mainland) and took it for an awesome ride in the mountains with the Vancouver Mini Cooper Club yesterday. We had such a blast! Enjoy, post pics!

Welcome! I'm in Victoria, but a few months back the Cooper and I took a roadtrip up to Kitimat and Terrace. Really great driving up there, lots of stretches to go flat out, and no radar!

MINI wave

Saw a MINI in town yesterday very briefly as I was driving. It had a white v-stripe on the bonnet. I waved but not sure if the other driver waved back. Lots of snow today.
