Awaiting Transport in Southampton ? ? ?
Awaiting Transport in Southampton ? ? ?
Does anyone know how often ships leave Southampton bound for the USA? Every two or three days? Once a week? Once every two weeks? I'm curious.
Assembly of my MCS Clubman was finished on Aug. 18th and the car is now sitting on the docks in Southampton, waiting to be loaded on a ship. Until I know it's aboard a ship I can't accurately begin counting the days until it'll hit Brunswick, GA where it will be off loaded for eventual transport to Austin, TX.
Thanks for any insight anyone can provide.

Just checked the K-Line schedule. K-Line only has 2 ships that transport MINIs to the east coast. The "Florida Highway" is currently in port at Baltimore, and the "California Highway" is currently sailing towards Bremerhaven, Germany and then will return to Southampton. It will then leave Southampton for the states again this Friday the 26th.
Because of that info, I will take a wild guess and speculate that your car will leave sooner than that on a Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship.
If I were you, go to the WW website and keep searching for your VIN# in their database. If it shows, then you will know which ship you are aboard and will be able to use www.marinetraffic.com to begin tracking your ship.
Also note, that I live in Dallas and my car was unloaded at the VDC in Charleston, not Brunswick. I assume yours would be the same, but that's just speculation. My car landed in Charleston on a Friday and was at the dealer in Plano the following Monday.
If you have any other questions at all, please let me know and I will help you out as best I can. Best of luck!
