Buying a MCS far away

Good Afternoon. I am new to the forum. I am having a 1/3 life crisis so I want to get a MCS. I found the car I want and it is located all the way in California. The car has all the bells and whistles that I would want on the MCS.

The car still has a warranty until 6/2014 or 100,000. It is currently at 35,000 miles. I've contacted the Mini dealer to confirm this statement and happens to be true.

The problem is that I cannot test drive it. The car is at a car dealership in Pasadena and I am in Mass. Have you guys ever done this or no anybody? No site inspection?

Hey rumpy, Fellow Mass MINI owner here. As an educated car buyer, I would NEVER EVER purchase something like a car sight unseen. If you think this car is really worth it, I would probably invest the couple hundred dollars to fly out and test drive it.

I'm assuming they'll charge a destination fee to have it delivered to MA? I definitely suggest working with MINI of Peabody if you're near. They are great. Tell Mike Bruno or Kevin Barkhouse that Pete sent ya.

Thanks for the input. I cannot make it there so I may commission a friend in Cali to have a look for me.
