new MCSc owner in AL

Hello everyone! My name's Bobby & I am the proud owner of my 1st MINI. I picked up a 2005 MINI Cooper S Convertible this past weekend & I am loving it!! I had sold my sport bike b/c my children were just too little to ride & I hated to go off and leave them at home. Being tied up in a "box" car was driving me crazy so I decided that a convertible MINI would satisfy all my needs for fun, excitement, and transporting the children. Well that's about it for me, but I want to say thanks to everyone who's contributed all the helpful information already -- it was a great tool in looking for and considering my MINI.

What part of Alabama are you in? If you are near B'ham, you may want to check out Alabama Motoring Society!

Dex -- I'm in Central AL close to Montgomery. I've found my way to AMS & I found a couple of owners local to the River Region. I hope to be able to get up to one of the Meet & Eats that AMS has soon.

Eric -- Carolinas may be possible as the wife is wanting to go on a vacation there at some point.

I am on the northwest side of Selma, not too far from Montgomery. My wife and I were going to make it up to B.ham for the last meet and eat, but it didn't work out. Hope to make the next one! Oh, by the way ... welcome to NAM!!
