Hello all! A little less than a week ago, I bought my first Mini Cooper S! It's a 2008 with about 68k miles on it. It was a one owner, in great condition. So far, I've been getting about 33 MPG on my commute to work, which is quite a bit better than the 2001 Lexus IS300 I was previous driving - it only averaged about 18 MPG on Premium fuel.

I drove to the MINI dealership today and had them pull the maintenance info from my key, and look up past work that had been done to the vehicle. It's overdue for the vehicle check, and almost due for front brakes. I usually do my own brakes, and not sure I want to pay $500+ for the dealership to do it...

One thing I was interested to learn was that my turbo was replaced at about 43k miles. Not sure what that's all about, but hope it's not a sign of things to come with this car...

Congratulations! Brake pads and rotors are super easy to replace. I was surprised how easy it was and I am far from a mechanic.
