I ordered my 2012 on 7/7/11. I finally picked it up at the dealership on 9/9/11. Perhaps I should be playing these numbers? Anyway, I have her and I'm totally in love and desperately seeking some alone time with her and the open road. Urgh!

For all my fellow West Coasters who also have cars on the Toscana, I have an update. The Toscana is hanging out around the entrance to the Panama Canal, waiting to go through as of 8:40 pm Pacific Standard Time, 9/11.

Delivery

My MA from Dreyer/Reinbold just called and my new Countryman is on a truck and headed to Indianapolis today. I guess off loading from the Tugela went very quickly and it is already on its way west. I was told that my auto is the 1st 2012 CM to arrive at the dealers for this model year. Possible that I'll have it by the end of the week . . . .

I called my MA today--she is on vacation for a couple of weeks. So I spoke to her partner, who updated my status. Fenimore is built, and is waiting for shipment! He's been waiting since at least 9/9, but that includes a weekend. Hopefully next week I'll have a ship name!

That gives me a lot of hope for mine! The Tugela docked in Baltimore right? Mine was on the Patriot which docked there today. Hopefully mine follows the same time frame as yours did and gets on a carrier quickly!

Hi all. I ordered my 2012 MCS Countryman All4 on Aug 23. Current status is ON ORDER. Went to dealer today to sit in one (and give my MA some info). He tells me they're getting a shipment of some in this thursday so I can take one for a test drive. Hey...gotta satisfy the craving somehow. I hate this waiting b

My CM is on the Toscana also. I just checked the marine traffic.com website and it is just now pulling into the Manzanillo port. I imagine it will be there for a half day or so and will then be heading to the canal. Hope I an spot it going through the locks sometime tomorrow on the canal webcams.

OK... so if anybody out there, who already has a clubman, is really bored and feels the need to be altruistic... Can you get a rough measurement of the painted area on the clubman for me? I'm interested in the roof, the bottom part of the back doors, the sides, and the hood. I'm trying to figure out some decals that want to put on my mini when it arrives.

Thanks,

Rachael

Ship is the THEMIS LEADER, it left Southampton on 9/6/11 and is due in CA on 9/29/11. The booking number is GBSOU944632, and there are 249 Minis on this ship, including mine.

Cheers all!!!

my car is a 2012 Clubman Ice Blue
My 2012 MCS is also coming to Port Hueneme CA, but the ship is Platinum Ray with an arrival date of 10/5/11. (It was loaded on 9/13/11.) My dealer is located in the SF Bay Area.

I might be needing the support group now too. Just ordered (09/12/2011) Justa hardtop spice orange/black roof. Dealer says 5 weeks, because they changed an exisiting order at the last minute. Having a good experience from the new dealer in Rockville, MD--MINI of Montgomery County. Have learned a lot already from everyone on this forum.

Duane.

My Mini is complete and has arrived at the departure port! I won't know which ship 'til a few days. I wonder if it will be the "Integrity" that sails from Southhampton today? Or maybe the next one...

Darn it! I have had mine on order for almost a month, and they are not even going to start production until Sep 26th ish (Week 39). You ordered yours like 2 days before I did.

Maybe they can airmail the box.

It is most likely your Tech Pkg or the fact that my dealer called 27 other dealers to get a good slot for production. But if it helps, from what I saw on another thread, you got a better $ deal than I did.

Maybe they build em depending on how much you paid for the car. If you pay less you get a crappy build date. If you pay MSRP you go to the head of the line.

Nah I don't think so. It must be something else.

Hehe to both of you... I am glad I got a deal...

So I called my MA this morning, and she just sent me a message. I hope she is right. The system says I am scheduled for Week 39...

She sent me a message that says according to the inside MINI site (along with a cut and paste), the car entered "150 - Production Started 9/14/11 06:48:13"

The OL still says ON ORDER.

How common for it to start production early? She told us the day we ordered it that the Cabrios go into production early, because there is just less of them being sold.

Thoughts? Sound right?

Wow, that's great to hear for ya! Your MA is giving more detail than mine. Seems the Owner's Lounge is always lagging behind schedule.

Late on the 14th or early on the 15th I switched to "En Route" to the US East Coast.

Who thinks they may be on the same ship as mine?

It is nice to see all these 2012 vehicles in production and several en route. Those of you who will be getting yours delivered soon must be so excited. I can't wait for the day that I will be in your shoes.
Hope we see some deliveries soon. Post some pics so the rest of us can live vicariously!

It looks like your schedule production date (when the car is finished production) is 9/23. Those are pretty accurate. I would expect your car to be finished with production on 9/23 no matter when it starts. All of the parts are put into an assembly line and have to be in a specific order. so that estimated production date has to be pretty accurate.
