I miss my Mini

I am a newbie here. I had a 2002 Cooper that had a dealer installed JCW kit (traded in a 1996 Land Rover Discovery). I loved that car but sold it in 2005 to get a bigger family vehicle (2005 Land Rover LR3). I gave up the sporty ride for a for a Landy, actually a few of them. But when I think about the joy I had in my Mini, there is nothing that compares to it.
I've come to the decision to buy another JCW Mini. I've been reading a lot on this and another Mini site to learn as much as I can prior to ordering. I hope to get to the dealership this week to put in my order.

If anyone has any advice feel free to post!

I guess my only advice is, "Go for it!"

Sorry, no advice, but just have fun. I'm not even in the market for another MINI, but I still go to the site and build them frequently, just for fun.

Awesome... have fun with the new JCW ( inimini2007 )
My advice is just be friendly with the people at MINI and they'll be equally as friendly with you. I like the people over at my local MINI, they have been good to me. Be sure to post pictures of it when it arrives at your door step.

Edited! My bad.

Just wondering why so many people ditch the run flats tires. What is the issue with them, performance, ride???

They ditch them because the ride quality is terrible compared to other non-runflat tires. Performance-wise, I'm not sure. Unfortunately, I bought the tire/wheel warranty before I realized how bad the ride was, so I'm not going to be switching them anytime soon.

run flats are very hard - I put on all weather tires for the winter and about a month ago put the RFs back on - ugh - you feel every bump & crack in the pavement. Cant wait till I wear them down and go back to the all weather tires.

Uggghhh! I tried to order a 2012 JCW hardtop today. Unfortunately I was told by two different MAs at different dealerships that there is no production on the JCW vehicles until November (at least that i what I understood). I could put money down but not put an order in until September or so.
So I am in a holding pattern.

Have you looked at any 2011 JCW's?
Did a quick check on the local dealer's site (Cincinnati Mini) and they have a red JCW hardtop if you really want one...

I looked and like the red, it would be fine with me but not my wife. The deal I have with my wife is she can pick all the exterior stuff and I get to pick the suspension, drivetrain and upgrades. This arrangement worked well with my LR Defender and I never hear any disagreement with "our" mods.
Thanks for the heads up on the red one in Cincinnati!
