I just came back from placing an order for a MC '12. I'm very excited about my purchase and can't wait for delivery!

 

My dealer told me this morning they had no idea when they'd be able to take 2012 orders. Guess I need to give her a call!

 

Congrats! Any new colors for 2012? I'm ordering a MCS in about a month.

 

Didn't notice any new colors but I was not really looking. Before going to the dealership I was between the brown and orange. After looking at both I decided on the spice orange.

 

How long will it take for delivery? I am about to place an order as well and wondered how long delivery time would take.

 

The estimated time I was given was last week in August (optimistic) but more likely it will be the first week in Sep.

 

I just placed an order for our 2012 MCS Convertible in Eclipse Gray last week and we were lucky enough to take one allocated to the dealership already on order so it's ours is in production and will be ready end of July or beginning of August. The only color change told to me is the Horizon Blue is no longer offered for R56 & R56 and is replaced by Lightning Blue. Can't wait to get it home!!

 

I was afraid they would bring back Silk Green and I'd have to sell my brand-new Chili Red to get a 2012.

Congrats on your new Mini! Thanks for the info about the colors. I'll be ordering in about 2 months (waiting for my lease to end) and color is about the last decision I need to make.

 

Two new colors that I have been told about. Highclass Gray metallic and Lightening Blue metallic.

And, I was just told that 2012 JCW hardtops won't be in production until November. I wasn't even able to put in my order yet. Guess I have to have some patience. Gives me some time to put a little more cash away and maybe add the leather seats.

 

Interesting stuff...still waiting for 2011 arrival! Maybe should reorder.

 

The orders for 2012 started the week of June 20-24. At my dealer, all orders for 2011 that happened that week all got rejected and had to be re-ordered as 2012s.

I ordered a new MCSa on Saturday, June 24. It has already completed building, and is awating pickup by carrier as we speak!

Thanks for posting this. My MA has been telling me for two weeks that it is not possible to order 2012's yet. Grrrrrr.
