Hello Everyone!

After reading these forums for a looong time, and searching for the right Mini, I finally picked up a 2005 R53. Had only 18k miles! This thing is like new inside and out!

I picked it up on a Friday and I was at The Glen on Tuesday!

The first thing I had to do was get those cheesy stripes off the front... good idea? Then a quick detail... Some blue tape, check brakes, check air pressures, check oil, check coolant, check brake fluid, visually inspect all tires, check all suspension connections, torque wheels.... a few hours and it was ready for the track!

The first day out it was pretty hot, and the stock run-flats couldn't handle it. That night I picked up a set of the best tires I could find (last minute). I ended up with a decent set of Goodyears (205/50 16). Good tires, and def better than the run-flats! Anyways, had a ton of fun and the Mini handled great on the track!
