OL is finally telling me that my car's at the VDC!!!!! Got to talk to my MA about when the car's likely to be ready. Since we're going away for the weekend, the best case sceanario would be to pick it up on the way back from the beach on Mon.

 

Florida Highway finally reported it's position again, it's off the coast of Georgia!

 

The OL is indicating mine is in the VDC as well...HURRY, HURRY, HURRY!! (but get it right)

 

Mine is showing at VDC now with an estimated arrival at the dealership 7/3 (my birthday, happy birthday to me!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!). But I won't be able to get it until the week after :-(

 

It's showing estimated arrival at the dealer on 7/1, which means picking it up Monday may be a real possibility.

 

Congrats you guys!! Mine is due at the VDC on Friday. The Independence II is off the coast of Long Island this afternoon. I wont' be far behind you.

 

Bah, humbug!!!! My dealer is closed Monday (isn't every retail outlet of any sort open on every Federal holiday? I thought it was required by law ). I'm now planning on picking it up Tues., assuming that it in fact gets to the dealer on Friday and they can do the final inspection by then. So close, and yet so far.

 

OL indicates an estimated delivery date of 7/02. My dealer is also closed on the 4th. Hopefully they can get through the back-log from a long weekend to get "Dash" prepared and delivered to me....looks like it's going to be sometime next week. Who's as excited as I am!!!!!!!!!!!??
As excited as I am I'm also a bit torn to walk away from the best car I've ever had. I have an 03 Accord Coupe V6 6sp manual which has ligitimately been great and still is. I bought it after a mere 11 months with my 02 MINI (worst but favorite car I've ever owned). I'm also ridding the garage of my 05 BMW Z4 3.0i. I'm going down to one car....you might say I'm MINImizing.

Yeah...if you click on "ORDER DETAILS" it should bring up your expected delivery date once available.

Now the OL is telling me it should be delivered to the dealer today!!! That should virtually guarantee a Tuesday pickup! But I'm not excited, not at all.

I'm watching my ship approach Baltimore. How long did it take for OL to show it at the VDC? Should make port tomorrow.

 

It was a couple of days after the ship had docked, and the VDC is close to the port (both are in Baltimore), but I'm not sure how long it took for the car to be unloaded, loaded on a truck and taken to the VDC, and unloaded there. If your ship docks today, I'd think you'd make it to the VDC tomorrow. The OL might not tell you that til Monday, though.

I am really hoping to take delivery next weekend.

The dealer doesn't open until 9...grrrr. I did send my MA a text yesterday and she said she'd check on it this morning. She was off work yesterday. I'll keep you posted!

 

I don't know how you guys can stand it!! My ship is approx 65 NM off shore, nearing Norfolk right now and I'm so excited that I can hardly stand myself!!

 

I've been in text negotiations (such a modern world we live in, huh?) with my MA all day. My car WILL be coming in today and we're hammering out all the little details and the car should be scheduled for delivery on Saturday! I'll have it for the long holiday weekend after all! STUPID EXCITED HERE!!!!!!!
