Week 22 2011 Support Group
Mine is in the paint shop as well according to the person I just spoke with. Obviously this is all dependant on how accurate and often they update the sytem at the Oxford plant. I don't see how mine can still be in paint when it's scheduled to be completed tomorrow?
Who knows? lol

Quick update. Completed production 5/20. At the dock 5/24. Kept checking WW website--no record. WW website down Sunday and Monday. No record this AM. My MA e-mailed me this PM. BUD 2 is on the Oregon Highway due in Brunswick, GA on 6/7!! Must have been loaded on and left South Hampton around 5/27. Short transport to Jax, FL from Brunswick, GA--hopefully by 6/15 to me. A lot quicker than expected. Nick
A question for everyone in this thread- when did you have a VIN # relative to when it went into production. My MA assured me mine was slotted for a week 22 build. Both owner's lounge and ASK-MINI still show it as slotted for production but no date and still no VIN # shows on the "review your order". I am assuming that means my car will not be built this week, or is it still possible? What do you all think?
the automated phone system is ahead of the website in my experience. I usually call every day.
mine showed a vin # on the owners lounge a couple days after it started production. The way I figured out mine was in production was by calling, then a couple days later it showed "scheduled for production", on the website, and the vin# was there. So to answer your question as soon as mine changed to "scheduled for production" on the website the vin was there.
I wouldn't think lack of a vin on the website means it's not in production. I don't think they are great about updating the website.
A live person at ask-mini should be able to tell you where it is in production and give you and estimated completion date.

Just called and talked to someone at ask mini and my car has been released to the carrier. That seemed quick. Yesterday it was in paint. Now I hope it gets on the ship that leaves on the 6th.
I think Chuck is right, anything is possible but ASK MINI usually has the most up to date info available. Once it's 'in production' the VIN should be available. The key date is the completion date-the only one that matters!
I just checked (auto recording) and mine is waiting to be released to the carrier. Looks like shipmates with Spice Orange if all goes according to plan. They pretty well have this down to a science-it's not their first rodeo!

Go to this website:

And enter your VIN number in the space that says Cargo ID. If it goes on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship line it will list the ship. Mine took a day form being released to the shipper until it showed up on this website.

Nothing here yet either. Have a feeling I'm going to miss the Fidelio which arrives Southampton in a couple of hours and departs for NYC later tonight. Oh well.
WW offices Southampton hours 07:00-21:00 (if paperwork has been approved in advance). Start checking bookings again then.
