You have your car already!!??!!

Wow congrats on the nice new BRG MINI! My hubby has a 2008 BRG one with a white roof, and we love it! Yours is a beauty.
I pick up my Countryman on Friday, will arrive at the MA at about 10 am. I cannot wait. I will post a pic or two on Saturday or Sunday if I am not out driving around..... LOL

I really wish I had an aero kit on mine. Funny..my car was on porgy too and my dealership is about a 30 minute drive from the NY port. Still havn't heard that it is in yet.

Alright, I e-mailed my MA back like... what the hell is up with all that chrome???? but in nicer words of course it was more like... "I was under the impression the grille surround was black with the AeroKit" and he respondeddddddddd

"Yes, you are correct… the JCW kit is supposed to be a Black in color Surround and not chrome… I put an email out to all of the powers that be for MINI usa… and nobody is around to answer… I will keep working on this."

The press photos I'm seeing show the grille surround as chrome, but all the online renderings show it as black. I'm going to press the dealer to swap for black if it is chrome.

I hope mine isn't messed up too cause I'll go nuts if it delays me getting the car any more. The truck arrived at the dealer 4 days later than it was supposed to. And I still don't know when my car will be ready cause they still need to install my JCW suspension and I know they haven't done that yet.

Well, my dealer assures me that every car with the JCW package gets chrome grille surrounds. Apparently the black is a JCW perk.

I couldn't really press as they had another car with the JCW package sitting in the showroom right next to mine.

Oh well, time to order from outmotoring, I suppose.

LOL...the one thing to distinguish a JCW from an MCS with the package is a black surround?
I'd rather let the MCS get the black surround, and let the JCW order the blackout headlights instead! Seems like the MCS got the better end of the deal.

I'm gonna be annoyed if my MA tells me that, wanted black Challenge wheels (was part of the configurator when I was ordering), dealership says oh nooo, those are for JCWs only to keep them looking special, want black grille surrounds...same story??

(Although it doesn't look tooooooo bad on mine with the chrome..)

You can get the surround vinyl wrapped though. I dont' want to joey mod my headlights cause I really dont' want to open them up and paint them. The paint will eventually bubble, and I just dont' like to break the original seal on the headlights cause if you dont' seal it up perfectly again, you'll probably end up with condensation in them later on.

Agreed. I'd much rather swap grilles than headlights. I still want your black wheels, though.

Like I predicted before, it was love at first sight with this car. The chrome really isn't all that bad, but I'm probably going to abolish most of the chrome on this car. I'll probably swap for a black grille soon, but I'm still in love over here

Hung Up in NY

Well it looks like those driving lamps are keeping my vehicle in limbo. The misguided OL went from Tuesday delivery to dealer to Wednesday and is still stuck on Wednesday. I am just hoping my car stays out of harms way with all the xtra time for someone to do something absent minded.

Keep those pictures coming. They sustain me.

I picked my baby yesterday! I still can't believe it's mine.
I'll try to get some pictures today. I was too busy driving yesterday.

I should have taken the pictures yesterday when it was nice and sunny out. It's cloudy here today. I'm at work but I'll try to get some pictures later.

Very nice Countryman! My daughter is selling her 06 MCS and is about to enter production on an all white Countryman S AWD. She is having some difficulty waiting.

I took a quick picture of my new MINI at work today When I was doing errands later I had people stop and tell me how cute she was in two different parking lots. She's going to get a big head....

It was kinda fun. One woman said "that car is so cute I wanna pick it up and take it home with me" She probably could have fit it in the back of her Cadillac Escalade.
