Hello to all Mini fans. As the former owner of a brand new '62 Austin Mini Cooper in the midlands of England, I have always remembered those two years I enjoyed touring that beautiful country. That was when there were no speed limits even on the secondary roads, except in the villages. Recently, I bought a used '05, and am enjoying every moment I drive it. I look forward to my association with NAM and its members.
It's justa mini, blue/purple haze, bought used (17k) two years ago. Options include heated leather seats (great for here in RI), run-flats but with spare and tools, and what I believe is an experimental, at the time, intake system. It takes an '07 air filter. Standard power is enough for me, at this age.
When I figure out how to add a picture, I will.

Hi, Paddyh: Before I left England, the Paddy Hopkirk editions of the minis were dominating the club races. They stunned the saloon race crowds as they outran the traditional favorites, including the Jags and Cosworth Fords. Paddy was to Mini what Shelby was to Ford.
Cooper62- Thanks for sharing your memories of Mini's racing heritage! As you surmised, I chose my NAM name “paddyh” in honor of Paddy Hopkirk. But, since my driving skill is nowhere close to his, I thought I should use lower case letters!
