Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum. I bought a 2007 Mini Cooper S on Friday . I am so in love with it! I have wanted one since I was 20 and I have been working two jobs to pay off some debt so I could buy one, but my Honda got totalled last week (i got backed into in a parking lot lol) so I got my mini early! Yay!

It is metallic black (is it technically astro metallic black?)
I creeped on the forum over the weekend and I have ordered a bunch of prima car care stuff. Now I'm dying for it to stop raining so I can wash it!! And once the insurance pays me for my totalled car, I can get my mini tinted. : )

anyway, I'm so excited to FINALLY have my mini, so hello!!

I think I was bitten by that bug long beore I got the keys! Lol. I have seen some pretty sweet pictures of black minis. yeeeaaaaaars ago I did a tiny bit of auto crossing so i kind of dream of mod-ing it in that direction :D

I'm just starting with tinting and bonnet stripes for now, then I will see I'm sure how far I can push my budget. I can't even decide what stripes I like best! Ugh!

 

Welcome, Carmenhatch! If you have an inclination towards auto-x, you are in deep trouble. The mods will keep you hooked. Sway bars, coilovers, sticky tires. Oy vey!
All kidding aside, you have picked a wonderful daily driver and weekend toy. Congrats!

If you want to know the exact color name of your MINI, look under the hood there should be a plate or sticker with the color printed on it. On the earlier models it was on the passenger side, but is now on the driver's side.
