Another new Mini

Hi all, I just put a deposit on a 2011 Mini Cooper hard top, manual, horizon blue with black roof. I got the premium and cold weather packages, and the extra maintenance. It was between this and a Golf TDI, I went with this because all maintenance is covered. I've been reading the forums...the "what do you hate most" thread is my favorite. Go to a TDI forum and that thread is way scarier than bad cupholders! Anyway, nice to meet you all!

I'm probably going to ask how to turn on the 3X blinker thing I've been reading about, but not until I physically have the car. I've always driven Civics so this will be totally new to me!

Thanks, will do! There's one nearby in the color I want...waiting to hear if I'm getting that one. If not will have to wait longer. I'm excited to be leasing with 30K miles per year, and I have the extended maintenance so I'll never have to pay for any maintenance the whole time I have it! Beats spending basically a new car payment every month on my 05 Civic .

Congrats. I'm currently waiting on my '11 MCS. Like yours, manual, Horizon Blue/Black with Premium, Cold Weather, Sports and Convenience, Connected with Nav, Sports Suspension, White turn signals and Black Headlamps.
This will be my second MINI and our family's third (my husband had a Countryman). It will be a different experience to the Civic, that's for sure. I had a Civic for a company car and while it was a great, reliable little car, there wasn't much to get excited about. I never once looked at it in the garage, or bought it stuff or named it .
Enjoy, can't wait to see pics!

Annette

Hey again, just a quick question (not sure where to post it): I was just watching the videos in the owners lounge, and I'm wondering if it's possible to repeat songs on a CD? It seemed like the only option was "shuffle". Is it possible to "repeat"? Thanks!

Congrats on the car! I went from a Civic to my Mini also. Definitely a move for the better.

Wow, I almost went with a Golf TDI as well. It just wasn't fun enough to drive and I don't do enough miles to make it worth the extra dough on diesel fuel. It is however a very solid car, better for cuising long distances and the like.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Drewbrese, I liked the Golf TDI and I do enough miles to make it worth it, but I'm just too scared about the maintenance. It seems like more of a do it yourself type car. Whereas the Mini has complete maintenance coverage . Now I just need to sell my Civic!
