YES! even with the jump in prices, my MINI is still cheaper to operate than my former Jeep compAss... pretty insane

 

I was driving a MX5 miata for years then I was racing at Willow Springs and to my suprise a fleet of Mini's showed up. About 10 ! They were fierce competitors.
To this day I have never driven a mini. At this time I have bought a $35,000
car I have never driven. That is how much I love these cars. I hope to see all of you motoring down the road sometime soon.

i have more then 20 people complain to me about the high gas prices every day. i know people are gonna be so jealous that i have a mini. i cant wait

 

Last time someone laughed at my Mini, I took them for run at an autocross. Hard to laugh when their knuckles are white and their eyes are bugging out.

 

The accepted reply to that is: "Go get your family and let's find out!"

I was talking trash to a nascarp fan, and kind of set him back when I said the normal nascarp car is only about 50 mph faster than my Mini (yes I've had it that fast).

 

Yes, everybody will be SOOOO jealous... Clown shoes... Better MPG... Big redneck trucks... Until I drove them around some twisties...

I hope that I don't offend anyone here too much, but SERIOUSLY why give half a damn what others think about what YOU do or the choice YOU make??!?!?!?? I don't care what anyone thinks nor am I going to waste the gasoline (no matter how little) to "prove" my car to some moron with the thought precesses of an amoeba. My friends, the people I care about and who care about me, might gently chide from time to time but it is something that we do to each other about a myriad of subjects and never with disrespect. Being in the south I always get "Hey, have you seen that movie with them cars in it. . .The Eye-Talian Job?"

To which I reply, with a straight face, "Yes, they make you watch it before you leave the dealership."
