Grungy, nasty, Massachusetts Mini wana-be guy!
That's me!
I have been looking for a sports car for a couple of months. I was prety dead set on a Mazda MX-5 BUT it looks like we "want to have another baby" and the two-seater is just not going to cut it. I have always like the Mini Coopers and almost pulled the trigger a few years ago so this gave me a reason to revisit Mini. As my interest has been renewed I have noticed two things.
First, here on the site, there are, what seems to me, a disproportionate number of pictures of Minis with Massachusetts plates on them. I wonder if this is a valid observation or not.
The second thing that I noted was that, although the brand new, freshly waxed cars in the showroom looked nice, the nicest, hottest, sexiest looking Minis were the ones that were loaded up with racks and covered in stickers and dirt. I guess that's my love of Land Rovers and such coming out but those cars are the ones that would tell a story. Those are the ones that make me second guess weather or not I should even view a Mini as a "second car" at all.
So, Hi. My name is Ken. I'm still torn on the Miata vs. Mini thing. I think that in the end I will wind up with a nice Cooper S in the garage before too long. Even if I don't I am sure I will enjoy looking at and reading about all the cool cars on this site!

I too wanted a Miata, but since there are 3 of us in the family I just couldn't let the wife walk
Anyway, since one of the funnest cars I had was a 1990 Suzuki Swift GT I figured a Mini Cooper S was the way to go. Take a test drive and see

Welcome....Mike
