Hello everyone! My name is Michael. I just bought my MINI on Black Friday. It's myy first MINI and my very first stick shift vehicle. I'm loving every moment of driving my new car. I'm still getting the hang of driving stick. I'm doing pretty good though. I don't stall anymore ... it took me only a few days for that, but I am still trying to perfect my shifting. For some reason, going in reverse is rougher for me than anything else. I've been told to just use clutch with no gas, I've been told to give it gas, but keep the clutch in the friction zone. It always seems to shake and act up. Then, I just want to make my shifting flawless, so you don't feel the shifting. I'm sure I'll get it. It's just frustrating, that's all.

Other than that, I'm in love with my MINI and I can't wait to get my shifting down and continue tuning my car and tweaking it out!

Welcome Michael! I'm from Horsham, PA. Other than the one group in philly. I'm thinking our area is pretty dry as far as mini clubs go. I am looking to go to minis on top at Mt washington in 2011. Hope you'll join.

 

I just checked out the website. Looks like a great time! My fiance just bought a MINI, as well. We'll have to decide which one to take.
