Hi all, I have been looking for a good forum for the Mini's. I hope this is it. Been a long time member on 2 forums for my Z3, the Mini is my wife's. I do a lot of my own work on all of our cars and I think I have been helpful on the Z forums. I do need some advice on the electric door locks, they do not work. The hatch and the fuel door lock/unlock using the center console switch, but the doors do not. Any one else have this issue and if so what was the fix? Thanks for any help. I hope as I learn more about our 02 Mini, I can share with others in need.

Welcome.

There are already several (long) threads here dedicated to the door locks failing. It is, unfortunately, too common of a problem.

While your door locks don't work from the center switch, do they work with your keyfob, or with the driver's door key?

Door locks

Thanks for the reply. To answer your question, the door locks do not work with either the key inn the drivers door or the switch or the remote. The hatch and the gas door work with all of the above.

Welcome! I hope you can get your door locks fixed!

Where at in Central PA?
We'd love to see you make the drive out for some of the bigger PittStop MINI events like the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (it's a HUGE event) - us MINIs are the only club that gets police escorted through the city and into the show!

We are just outside of Penn State. I almost came down to the Vintage show last, but a family get together came up. We will make the Vintage some day. Does the PittStop group do other events/drives? Such as Minis on the Dragon? I have been there with my Z3 and the wife wants to take her Mini done. We'll have to see what the spring holds.
