mini cooper coupe 2005
mini cooper coupe 2005
This Mini was purchased in Florida, being one of the first coupes brought into the North American market.
It was used for three years in Fl. and then we decided to take it to our home in Canada. We had the running lights turned on in the computer and that was an easy fix, what we did not do is change the computer to kmh, its not necessary to do the actual speedometer, this shows both mph and kmh, just the readout on the index that shows averages and readouts for the gas useage and miles left in tank, etc.
Can this actually be done by the computer or is there more involved, if so it would not be worth the effort. Our Mini has only 17,000 miles on it, so it looks and feels new.
thanks, limeym8

The cardoes not care if it displays metric or english units...well it is an English car, but has quite a bit of German, so I'd bet it can do either just as well.
It wouldn't bother me to have the readouts in the English system, I've gotten too old to switch to metric myself, the distances don't bother me, kph OK, temperatures just can't handle centigrade.
