Hi all,
This is my first post here, I picked up my new Mini last night, returning to the fold 24 years after my last Mini.
My first car that I bought myself was a '73 1275GT. By the time it eventually left my ownership due to spending the next few years driving company cars it was Stage 2 tuned. Suffice to say by that time I knew my way around a Series A engine, worshipped Dave Vizard as a deity and was not only on first name terms with the owner of my local scrapyard but I was on his Christmas card list.
Moved to the US many a year ago and upon the launch of the new Mini was instantly in love (lust?) once again.
Circumstances and the stars have aligned recently and the offer of an '06 Manual shift S was like dangling a sausage in a convent. Hoops were jumped through, walls scaled and Iggy came home last night. Of course, now it is bloody raining !
She's in fantastic shape, especially the interior with just a few small stone chis on the bonnet. So that I can get the right touch up paint, what on earth do they call this color today - would it be the Indy Blue ?
Many thanks
Andrew

Welcome from another freestater, Andrew...your MINI looks more like Hyper Blue, not Indi Blue but it's really hard to tell from the photos. Indi Blue was a shade darker than Hyper Blue...hope to see it around sometime.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am located in Gaithersburg though my office is in Columbia, so I am up there a couple of days a week. The back road commute through Brookeville and past Brighton Dam is truly an absolute joy in Iggy, makes me grin like a lunatic :-)

ps. She's Hyper Blue, thanks for that :-)
