Greetings NAM, I've been a Mini Owner since June when I got my 2008 Nightfire Red/Black Coupe. Wanting to try some unconventional mods with my mini, and I'll have to look through the forums to see if they're already covered or not. Hope to see you on the roads! Happy Motoring!

Well, I got my Mini used and was looking at doing a complete engine swap with a "S" engine, but keeping as much of the Justacooper bodystyle as possible(a sleeper more or less). I've been looking most of the day through the mod section and have yet to find anything done along these lines. From the looks I'm just going to have to order another Mini sometime in the future.

Yep, I think that's your best option.

Yay! Another fellow North Texan! Be sure to check out metroplexmini.org. Most of the MINI owners here in DFW are really friendly, especially the MM.org members, but you'll see a few here and there who clearly have not read the owner's manual. Be sure to wave and welcome to MINI!

Thanks for the warm welcome! Though I don't truly consider myself a North Texan, or a Texan at all for that matter. I'm an East Coast transplant, doing my time. I actually registered at a big transition point in my life, as I start a new job with a govt. contractor working on UAV's and will be headed overseas soon.

Luckily for the wife, she has gotten a firm grasp on driving the standard and will be having all the fun with the Mini while I'm away. I'll have her hop over to MM.org and register, or use mine account as it will give her something else to do while I'm gone (and a better knowledge of automobiles as well). /wave!

Welcome

As for the Idea of putting an S powerplant in your Cooper, that is crazy and waaaaaaaaaaay to expensive. It would be cheaper to buy an S and put a cooper hood on it and try to make it look like a cooper. Cosmeticly and S and Cooper aren't much different.
