I am delighted to join this national group of mini lovers. I have recently become a member of the Gulf South Motoring club operating in my area.
I have a 2005 cooper S and love it to death! I live in the city of New Orleans where there are quite a few Minis. Unfortunately, there isn't a Mini dealer in our city so have had to travel about 80 miles there and back (Baton Rouge, state capital)to get anything done, which, of course, is quite absurd!
I am entertaining the idea of adding a couple of driving lamps to the front area but don't know what kind to get nor how to put them on. I talked with the only Mini dealer in Louisiana and they wanted to charge about $470.00 for OEM driving lamps which I felt was much too expensive. Does anybody out there have any suggestions, ideas, about suitable lamps (brand name, type, etc) and how to put them on? Cheers.

 

Welcome to the forum, for driving lamps check MARKETPLACE ever so often someone has used ones up for sale in the $200 plus or minus range.

Not knocking the dealers, but I figure if you can save the drive, and usually inflated charges for parts & labor, why not?
