Hello. NAM!!

Proud owner of a new(to me)MINI Cooper S. Have had it a mere two weeks, but I LOVE this lil car!!

Have a mod list being built, and will start after doing a bunch of research. I look forward to learning from this board and contributing where I can.

Thanks for having me!

Hi there!
I also have had my new (to me) Cooper for 2 weeks. I'm in love! He is a 2007 MC, and has the cold weather, premium, and convenience packages.
Already put 1000 miles on him... just can't seem to quit motoring...
Going for stripes and clear bra next week. That will set me back about $700. Will next save for new wheels and tires.
NAM has been a huge wealth of information, getting to know how everything works...I am so thankful to everybody here....
Good luck and have fun!

Very nice R53 MCS, otherwise known as "Gen 1," which happens to be my favorite because they are a bit more raw and less refined than Gen 2, just like a legendary car should be .

Anyway, here's a link to the forum's many threads on mods: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...fications-196/

If you haven't already heard about the "magic switch" on the R53, here's the entire kit for a reasonable price: http://bit.ly/bs5HNA

Happy motoring dude!

thanks for the welcomes!!

A lil bit more about the MINI
has sport package, you can see what color it is, has panoramic sunroof, 6 speed manual, I bought it with 50K miles(after doing a lot of research, I know that isn't bad) and bought it because I have wanted a MINI for YEARS. Even growing up I wanted the "Old" mini. Great platform, SUPER fun, sporty, easy to mod/work on and overall just finding it to be a solid car. Very pleased, and impressed!

I plan on doing the pulley, a 15, CAI, ditching the run flats, would like to mount some rally lights for night drives up at Skyline Drive and in/around NOVA, JCW style grille . .and I am SURE the list will grow. It is hard to fight off the MOD bug.

I need to get familiar with all the abbreviations I see on the boards. . .like PW? I know they aren't referring to power windows, but a vehicle class maybe? I figured I know MCS, JCW, colors and such. . .but any help is appreciated. I searched to see if there was a list but couldn't find anything.
