Question on tires?

Greetings to All !
I'm buying my first Mini, a Clubman S. I live in New England and would like to know what all season/ snow tires I should have on it. The run flat ones from what I've read are not that good. The snow will be here soon so let me know. Thanks.

Greetings!

I see a lot of people using the Bridgestone Blizzak for their dedicated snow tires.

Talk with your friendly tire dealer, The Tire Rack or Tires Plus are good about this. Ask for Blizzaks, and also what their competition is. I did this for my 2007 Miata MX-5 and they steered me towards Majestic Glaziers, which worked terrific. Still have them on it, but need to put the originals back on for my lease inspecion on Friday. That's what I am going to do when Lil Guy gets here.

Have you considered the ALL4U optioned all wheel drive 2011 Countryman?

Blizzaks seem to be the most popular choice along with a Slime kit since they are not runflats.

My Continental Extreme Contact DWS are rated well for the snow and just rated good all around. You can play with your MINI in pretty much anything reasonable for a low profile vehicle. Also, they are relatively cheapo.

Thanks you all for the advise on the tire issue. The all season tires may be fine but I feel like most of you that snows will be the best choice for the winter. 16 or 17 inch tires? That is the next question. What are your opinions?

if you live in new england I would get snow tires, the all seasons are okay but the winter tires will make it 100% better. As for 16 or 15, I have 15 on steel rims. last year on tire rack for about $700.00
