This is my 1st. post to the best mini forum in the world! Can't wait 2 talk to you all about this car and get and give many ideas on how to make this car your own.

I've been looking on the this forum for years but never joined til now so please be kind to the new kid on the block.

About the mini it is a 2006 JCW with the works form nav. to arow-kit. she's Astro Black with White roof and wheels and mirrors stock as she looks. Now we have done some tricks to make it not so stock! Oh yeah shes a 6speed.

1. Tinted windows all way around + windshild as well as the roof.
2. White mesh on the roof to make it look like a hard top but can still see through it.
3. Smaller pullie on the supercharger.
4. 3M clear bra on the nose.

Now I'm looking for some wheels and tires now. Will also be doing some motor work to her soon. Photos are to follow.


Now this forum is a little hard to navgate through can you guys an gals show me how to walk around if you will.? I'm trying to get to "things for sale, photos as well as how to post photos"

Top of the screen, under the NAM logo, you'll see there's a few choices there. Among them are:

Gallery - takes you to your personal photo gallery. Just head in there and it will walk you through the basics of uploading photos.

Market - takes you to the marketplace where private owners can display things they are selling.

You can also look at the Main Menu on the left side of the screen; find the vendor directory there to find a listing of site-approved MINI merchants.

Thank you, trying to work my way through I'm shore I will get the hang of it. Say where should I go looking for wheels? I have my heart on a set of wheels that I know they don't make anymore they are called "Dare X4's" do you know where I should look for them?

Also looking to upgrade my driving lights with a set of PIAA's where would I look for that as well?

Okay, in the Marketplace you'll notice it broken in to a few segments... Classic Minis, 1st Gen MINI, 2nd Gen MINI and so on; further down is a general area - two categories you may want to investigate are the one specifically for wheels and/or tires (to look for your rims) and the 'Looking For' one (where you can advertise that you're looking for a specific product). Other than that, since they are a product that isn't being made anymore, you may want to investigate something like eBay or Craig's List.

The PIAA lights would probably also be down in the general area since they're aftermarket and not specific to a particular generation of MINI. Good luck with your hunt.

Being relatively new to the world of MINIs (only had mine since early June) I haven't gotten involved with any MINI clubs as of yet. I've poked around on a couple of websites (MOTE in NJ and NEMINI which covers several states in the northeast but figured I'd wait until I actually have time to do something before looking into them any further.

...about the pic of your car. I have an '09 Chili Red that I just picked up 2 days ago. No stripes and want them and REALLY like the way yours are done. Do NOT want to do it myself nor does the husband (no patience for it from either of us). Like the way yours is striped.

Curious as to how much it would cost to have someone do it. I know I can buy the kit from outmotoring.com at a very reasonable price (Aaron is VERY helpful), but am in San Antonio. What kind of shop do you think would put these on for me and what am I looking at for install, pricewise??

Sorry for the long post...Am loving this standard 6-speed! The '06 with auto tranny did NOT work out well at all. I was lucky to be able to return it and purchase this one. Short legs and a clutch...still looking for the perfect seat adjustment, but WILL find it!

Head to the General MINI Talk Forum... there's a pair of sticky'd threads up at the top... one has the badges and another has the 'Cars' style avatars. From there, you just need the image saved somewhere that you can link to it for your sig.

Good looking out I'm going to work on making up a new one I found the badges but not the cars aslso been working on the photos as will this is so much fun.

Got a question for how far are you from NYC?
