Got My Mini Lastnight!!!!!!!!

got our mini lastnight. I love it this thing rips. Would like the rims to be black. Now I just need to join a club and figure out what mod to start with.
I live on the central coast of Cali(SLO) area. Any clubs close?

Congrats & Welcome! I'm a former resident of SF Bay area (Alameda) and was in SLO for the car show one July. Enjoyed it there. There were so many SLO Vettes...there has to be a SLO MINI's...and if there isn't...start one.

this was my mod order:

strut-guard plates : $100 something dollars
then one-ball (resonator delete) : $50 bucks at the muffler shop
then intake (on what brand, it depends on your taste)
then 15% pulley
then ngk jcw colder plugs
then 380cc injectors
then h-sport lowering springs
then i got tuned today
next would be rear-swar bar and then the wheels.

Nice MCS! If you are interested in the most bang-for-your-buck car mod, Alta Performance has a deal that you can't pass up. Go to this link http://www.altaperformance.com/produ...rmance-Package- and put in the July discount code (JULMAS15) for the tune kit. It reduces the cost to $300! This is a great deal

Indy Blue is a great color, no to many of them with a silver roof from what I have seen(unless its on a checkmate). Its a good combo, and looks great.

As for mods, Realy start with a 15-17% pulley, have te S/C belt replaced when you do it ($30.00 extra) and check the tensioner. After that open up the intake and exahust.

What a beauty!! Id put your wheels up on craigslist or here in the marketplace. They are sure to sell! Any specific black wheels in mind?

Sorry to bust your bubble Minihockey, but you wouldn't be the first miniac family. Take a look at this marriage made in heaven. http://forums.kcminiclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2145

BTW: I personally know this couple. They met at a local Mini meet. She is as much a mini enthusiast as he is, but I'll let you guess who's car gets modded.

While black webs do look great, the second most effective mod on a 1st gen mini is losing stock wheels and getting light ones. Stock wheels all range about 23-26lbs, and for 17" wheels, they might as well be made from lead.
For comparison, those Feathers are only about 16 and a half lbs. That kind of unsprung weight loss is equal to about 200-400 lbs depending on the "formula" you use.
