Yesterday I became a 2007 Mini Cooper S owner. I got in the car and drove almost 300 miles home and I think I need some knowledgable help. I understand that the 07 S has a 6 speed auto; I think the one I bought has a 4 spped auto. is this possible?
A few things that I didn't check was the built in garage door opener. It doesn't have one. Can I install an OEM unit. The radio also doesn't appear to have XM?? Can I install an oem unit. The telephone has wiring, (I guess) Can I hook it up to my Cell phone? Am I just being rediculous wanting these things in a used car.
I had never driven one before taking this one and I think that I am going to enjoy the car and doing the things that I do to a vehicle to make it mine.
What do I need to look out for? what are some of the things that most change or modify on the car.
I know that I have ask a lot. Any answers are welcome.

Welcome, yes you can add the garage door mirror. I'll have to get you a price if you need.
You can also add the XM no problem.
As for the phone, invest in a good bluetooth, the factory kit isn't perfect.
