We just spent a pleasant weekend at Grove Park Inn in Asheville; coming from the beach area of South Carolina (Hilton Head); wow---do you guys have some HILLS or what??? Trust you can navigate them zippily in your "S". We'd taken the Wife's Prius and it was struggling with the worst of those upgrades.

I was boasting at one of the forums about 44 miles per gallon out of my "justa" MINI R56 2007. I am sure I would not get that mileage, however, where you live.

Is the Neiman Marcus still open in Charlotte???

Grove Park is a great spot. Love the outdoor restaurant and the spa.

We have no shortage of hills and twisties here. LOVE IT.

 

Thanks for all of the friendly replies. I took my first trip yesterday on the Dragon. I feel a bit fortunate living in a place that has lots of two lane twisty back roads and they do not have the highway patrol constantly clocking cars as in the case of the Dragon. I think Neiman Marcus is still in Charlotte. You can Google South Park Mall, Charlotte NC to be for sure.

 

Our daughter was in school in Lynchburg, VA for a while, and coming from Hilton Head, Charlotte was about half-way and we would stop at Southpark Mall....Apple Store and Cheesecake Factory!! Whats not to like?

There is a good new thread. Apple has about a 15% market share of personal computers. I am betting that among MINI owners, many more than just 15% of us own and use Apples and Macs.
