Question

Hi, I'm new to this site. Looks like a good place for all things Mini. Just wondering if any of you guys have had the clear bra put on the front of your MC for protection. Any problems with it? Oh, Chili Red 2010 S., bought in February.

Welcome to NAM!

Congrats on your MINI!

There are many that have a clear bra. If its applied correctly...it will be fine.

I got my clear bra installed about a week after I took delivery on my clubman in 2008. It has been a lifesaver for the paint on the hood and bumper of my car. After 30,000 miles only 2 or 3 chips mostly on the front of the roof. I don't think I will ever get another car without a clear bra.

Clear Bra

Thanks for the info. When you wax the car do you just wax over it?

I have a random orbital buffer and tape the edges of the clear bra with painters tape or you will have a white wax line that is very hard to get rid of without damaging the edge of the clear bra. The easiest thing is to use detail spray or hydro and then you don't have to tape anything.
