New to me 2006 MCSC

Hello,
Just wanted to introduce myself! I became the proud owner of a 2006 MCS Convertible, British Racing Green w/ white bonnet stripes, chrome package, sport package, premium package, STILL UNDER WARRANTY and LOW MILES (!!!), on February 8, 2010. I LOVE MY CAR!!!
However, having purchased my car from a used car lot vs. a Mini dealer, I have YET to find a service department at a dealer in the LA area that seem even MILDLY competent. Crevier Mini in Santa Ana are lovely, but that's super far. Anywhoot, I'm eager for summer to start so I can take full advantage of my cabriolet. I'm still baffled by my steering wheel - I have a phone icon but from what I've read it's NOT Bluetooth compatible?? My Passenger Airbag light illuminates if I have my (somewhat heavy) purse in the passenger side. My AUX line goes out while listening to my Sirius Sportster Replay, and the engine fan goes on even after short drives! I'm a little freaked out about these things as my warranty expiration date fast approaches. I'm eager to research the threads and see if my issues are A) across the board and, B) easily fixed. Nice to be here!

Welcome to NAM. There are many things about minis that my take some time getting used to.
About the air bag light, when you place a heavy object on the seat, the sensor will think it is a person and is telling you to bukle up. Craven speed sells a gadget called the Chimex that will stop that from happening. Here is the link:http://www.cravenspeed.com/index.php?productID=234.

Thanks! I love how the description says I can "take control back from THE MAN". I need this gadget: from the dog sitting shotgun setting the 'ding ding ding' seatbelt chime off, to having a bag of groceries, the light and the chime make me mental. Thanks for the recommendation!

Welcome to the forum, none of the problems are any danger, find a dealer and take it in for a checkover.

Welcome to the obsession from MAD-Town, WI. Wow, a 2006 BRG, a very good year and a very good color.
