new mini

recently got a new mini, racing green with white top for the tropical sun. Has stripes but thinking of taking them off. Will it leave a ghost stripe? The car is brand new.

Hello and welcome!
What year is your car...is it an MC or MCS? Posting pictures is always a bonus!
My 02 had the standard stripes on it up until last year. I pulled them off and did have some ghosting...which was removed with clay. I dont know how old your car is, but I imagine that the sun in Florida is a bit more brutal than the Idaho sun. My car also spends most of its time under a roof as well, so its really hard to say one way or another!

Welcome to NAM!

I would say, since it's brand new, removing them wouldn't leave any ghost stripes behind. But if it did, you should be able to remove them with buffing/claying.

You'll find NAM users very helpful...just searching for info on NAM has got me a long way and a slew of information!

Happy Motoring!

Yeah, ditto on what everyone else said. I had no problems when I took my bonnet stripes off. I got them free with the sports package but didn't care for the look. I'm thinking of getting sports / viper stripes later on, but for now the clean look is for me. Congrats on the new ride!
