How do I remove the dashboard below the steering wheel so I can access the screws on the left post to install a larger cup holder?

 

Grip firmly near the top at the gap near the steering column and pull down. It will pop down and it may come off if the hinges at the bottom release. No big deal to re-insert. I did this same mod. You may need to pivot the cupholder toward the radio to access the ignition switch.
