Low millege MCS 04 or high millege MCS 05

Hello everyone this is my first post.

Just lost my 04 Subaru WRX in a car accident, I loved that car and I thought I would keep it till it hit 200K miles. A couple of months before the accident I had gotten my wife a mini, I had never driven in one before but as many of you I really enjoyed the ride, so now i'm looking to replace my subbie with a MCS.

The good thing is my subbie was covered, I have about 10k and some more to spend and i'm looking into getting a MCS, the question I have is which would you pick. A low millage 04 MCS (50k-60K) or a higher millage 05 MCS (75K-85K) From what I have read on the post, it seems like the 05 improved some from the 04 so just wanted to get your take on this. I am looking for a 6 speed in case your ask.

thanks for your help.

I would try to find a lower mileage '05, I believe if you look hard enough you will find one with under 50K although it might cost you 1K or 2K more than what you have set aside.

Bensmini thanks for the comments I do have a 05 MCS with 43k miles priced at about 16k. The car is awesome but I am needing some motivation to pay the extra money for it, although if this lower milege car could help me avoid some part replacement cost in the future it may be worth it. What do you think 16k for a 05 MCS with 43K miles, aftermarket suspension and 18" wheels does it sound like a good deal.

That's def a good deal man, i'm pretty sure the NADA value for that car is high 16 lower 17k, and you'll absolutely love it, just happened to find mine for 12,900. it's also an 05 mcs but it had 68k, high retail for mine was 16,500k, i have all the options and everything, you can find great deals, man, you may even be able to talk them down a little on the price as well, but that is a pretty good deal!

I'm in the same boat

I'm seriously considering a relatively low mile 04. Just trying to decide if the difference in gearing makes enough of a difference to wait.
