Herro: 2004 Indi Blue Mettalic MCS in Minnesota

Hey there. Been using the site for a few days while I was reseaching Mini's before purchasing a used Cooper S earlier today. I'm planning on checking out the site for ideas for future plans. Glad to meet you all.

It's late and I'm watching the Twins, didn't see how I typed metallic till it was too late

Welcome to the site! I really like Indi Blue and if it wasn't for the fact that my last car was a similar blue I would have picked it instead of DS. Sharp looking car

I bought a 2 year/24k mile powertrain warranty from the BMW dealer because it has 111k miles, do you think it's worth $1,700? This is a 2nd car, and don't kill me, but mostly going to be my winter vehicle. My plan right now is to drive it for a month or so while I have the warranty and check it out, and probably cancel the warranty after I'm comfortable with the engine/transmission condition and store it/mod it for the rest of summer. If I decide against modding it, I think I'll keep the warranty though. This is assuming that intake, pulley, ignition, header and exhaust would cause warranty problems. Anyone have experience w/ warranty coverage and mods? I'm sure there's ton's of threads I'll find when I look, but figured I'd ask.
