I'm new to North American Motoring and just wanted to say Hi.

I have a 2003 Mini. Color: the beautiful and discontinued Silk Green with the classic white top and rims. I call her "Emma" and so far she's been a wonderful car. The most fun I have in my car is when I can sneak around all those big SUV's who are stuck in a jam. Serves 'em right! The downside is when I do something stupid and my car is easy to identify because of the unique color! Oh well.....

Thanks for replying to my post! I have attached a photo of my car and thought I'd mention that I have named my Mini "Emma." A good name for a proper English girl I think!

Also, I was wondering: can any of you recommend a reasonably priced extended warranty for the Mini? I am out of my warrantly now and shudder at the thought of having to pay for a major repair or replacement. Well, have a great week!

Hi Victoria, and welcome to the Club! That is one fantastic looking MINI you've got there! I had to chuckle at your picture though--I think it shows more cars in the parking lot than we have in our Town. It must be perfect for getting around in high-volume traffic!

Yes, silk green is very rare. I have seen maybe 3 of them (besides mine) over the years and have to wonder why more buyers didn't find this color desireable! Oh well, unique is good. Take care. : )

Love your Mini! If I win the lotto (ha ha) I'd like to get one like yours with the two doors in the back. How is it in Asheville? I was almost going to go there once to see if it would be a good place to relocate, but was talked out of it by someone who didn't know jack. But I hear NC is awesome and Asheville in particular.
