Anyone else recently ordered?

I don't have a production date yet (just ordered last week) but just received a production number!

Is there anyone else out there in the same boat? Once a production week is provided, I'm sure this can be transferred into "support group: week XX."

I started looking at Mini's last year but was unable to purchase one until now. Been reading this site off and on since joining - tons of good info here.
I am in the Chicagoland area. Ordered a Midnight Black Factory JCW.

And the wait begins/continues...

-George

Not to worry George, the little devil will be here before you know, waiting makes the heart grow fonder

I'm in waiting as well. The owner's lounge still just says scheduled for production but the automated phone line says it'll be done this Friday :D

The Owner's Lounge still reports my MCS Mayfair (2-25 build date) is still awaiting shipment, but I just learned it is on the Aegean Highway and scheduled to dock in Baltimore next Tuesday! The Aegean Highway is a K Line ship, and that seems to mean I cannot track it. The last reported location was 2.5 days ago near the English Channel.

Yeah, the owner's lounge tends to be several days behind.

Just put down the deposit and ordered one the other day. No production number yet. It's gonna be a laser blue MCS. I'm totally excited!

I ordered 5 weeks ago. My Mini is on the Marvelous Ace, which should go through the Panama Canal next Wednesday, and get to California 3/27. Last step is to get through processing and to Seattle Mini. Anyone know how long that should take?

Daylight savings time -- one less hour to wait for our Minis!

Defintely got one on order

Can't tell much, yet. Brand new dealership opening here, so they are scrambling to figure out the system. I didn't get a production number. I got a VIN number which the MINIUSA system doesn't recognize and a production date of March 18th.

I suppose I'll pound my way thru these threads to get an idea of the time lapse between production date and delivery in the USA.

Any of you guys get any kind of deals on your MINI? I spoke to a couple of dealers and they seem willing to deal some for my order. No hard and fast offers yet as I am not quite ready to pull the trigger. Not looking for any huge discount but would like to get the free package offer without having to use their 3.9% financing. I have cash.....

Which means mine might be three days old for MOTD, or could show up at the dealership while I'm at the Dragon.

Ouch!

Hello,
I ordered my MCS (pepper white/toffee stripes) on Feb. 20. The owner's lounge reports it to be "awaiting transport", and has posted that for the past 3 days. How can I find out what ship it will be placed on? I'm from Texas and do not know what port it will be delivered to. My Mini dealer sent me an email telling me to expect it Mid-April. Can't wait!!!

Just got my production number today. Really stoked as I've been told it's a March number with delivery by end of April.

Ordered a '10 MCS BRG/W, bonnet stripes, sports, convenience, comfort packages & H/K

The Owner's Lounge runs well behind. See the first sticky in this group for a lot more info on tracking your MINI. Depending on the shipping line, you may be able to track it all the way across the Atlantic.

I read through that sticky and one thing I'm not sure of. How do you actually find out which boat I'm supposed to be on. The WW site says no record for my VIN and the dealer says he doesn't know either. I've watched a couple boats come and go with no change in my own status of "waiting at port" so I don't know what else to do other than keep watching for boats that come into port.

Guess I'm a few days behind the curve here... Got my deposit put down and order in Tuesday, expecting ~2 weeks until production and then 6 more until I'm cruisin'. Talked to the manager at Mini of the Woodlands but in spite of other folks' experience here she was adamant that they couldn't do the 1.9% finance with the option credit. Went with the 3.9% instead as it still works out cheaper to knock $1750 off the price up front.

Looking forward to joining the club... I've been a Miata guy in the past - last was totaled (hit by a Toyota and a couple of SUV's) in Jan 2007 - but with the wife and I talking about growing our family later this year I figured the MINI would provide the fun factor with the added practicality of a (small) back seat for the kiddo(s).

Anyone get a production day or week yet?

I have been checking the Owner's Lounge daily to see if my status has changed, but it still says 'on order' after 3 weeks. My MA told me it should be going into production any day now though. Here's hoping!

I just got word that my MINI was left on the boat when it left Baltimore!

This word came AFTER receiving word that the car was off the boat and en route to the dealership.

If the order has been placed, then there is a production number and a build week associated with it. Hound your dealer a little.

Being Canadian I can't use the OL and MINI.ca doesn't have it's own OL
From all of my reading the best I can do is keep hounding my MA in order to get a Production Week and then a VIN. I have read that I can track my car using the VIN on the shipping lines.
